Time and again, my own projections suggest that a DIY approach would generate better returns compared to such insurance-based products. Even if one were to use Unit Trust instead of shares! <br /><br />Understandably, the insurance companies have to make money. And so, they take a cut off.<br /><br />A DIY approach would of course require the investor to understand what they are doing.
